I was lured by the synopsis and the hype surrounding this book since this book become book of the month for several book boxes. Nyxia offers promising interesting story. The writing is really good, fast paced and page turner but I am kinda disappointed with the plot. It is not I expected it to be. It is like Hunger Game retelling, while I expected it more like Star Wars. The plot (some teenage competing their right to be able land to a planet called Eden, on the spaceship) made the setting replaceable. I think if the setting replace and the competition happens on earth, it still make sense.

Saya terpikat oleh sinopsis dan hits seputar buku ini karena buku ini menjadi buku bulan untuk beberapa kotak buku. Nyxia menawarkan cerita menarik dan menjanjikan. Tulisannya sangat bagus, alurnya cepat tapi saya agak kecewa dengan plotnya. Plotnya tidak sesuai harapan saya. Plotnya lebih mirip Hunger Games, sementara saya mengharapkannya lebih seperti Star Wars. Plotnya (beberapa remaja yang memperebutkan hak mereka untuk bisa mendarat di sebuah planet bernama Eden, di pesawat ruang angkasa) membuat tempat/settingnya dapat diganti. Saya pikir jika settingnya diganti dan kompetisi terjadi di bumi, ceritanya masih masuk akal dan dapat berjalan.

I stay reading because I really like Kaya. She is Emmett’s (our main character) roommate. She is smart street kind and really good problem solver. I really love to read smart girl character in the story. I also like how diverse the characters are and there are many quote table sentence. Overall, It is fun and quick read, but it also kinda let down since my expectation was high at first place. I think it is kind book that is not my cup of tea but I still enjoy some part of it so I think it is probably you better read this book to find out yourself whether you like it or not.

Alasan saya tetap membaca karena saya sangat menyukai Kaya. Dia adalah teman sekamar Emmett (karakter utama). Kaya adalah perempuan cerdas dan pemecah masalah yang sangat baik. Saya sangat suka membaca karakter cewek cerdas dalam cerita. Saya juga suka keberagaman karaktenya  dan terdapat banyak kata-kata bijak. Secara keseluruhan, Nyxia menyenangkan dan cepat dibaca, tapi juga agak mengecewakan karena ekspektasi awal saya yang tinggi. Saya pikir buku ini bukan cangkir teh saya tapi saya masih menikmati beberapa bagian jadi saya pikir mungkin sebaiknya Anda membaca buku ini untuk mengetahui sendiri apakah Anda suka atau tidak.
