Sinopsis/Synopsis:

Truman tertegun, bingung melihat rambut pendek dan celana monyet Nelle. “Kau… perempuan?”
Nelle menatapnya tajam.

Kekuatan persahabatan mereka mengubah kepahitan hidup menjadi detail-detail manis penuh warna, sekaligus kelak menginspirasi novel fenomenal To Kill a Mockingbird yang mengantarkan Harper Lee mendapatkan Pulitzer Prize.

Long before they became famous writers, Truman Capote (In Cold Blood) and Harper Lee (To Kill a Mockingbird) were childhood friends in Monroeville, Alabama. This fictionalized account of their time together opens at the beginning of the Great Depression, when Tru is seven and Nelle is six. They love playing pirates, but they like playing Sherlock and Watson-style detectives even more. It’s their pursuit of a case of drugstore theft that lands the daring duo in real trouble. Humor and heartache intermingle in this lively look at two budding writers in the 1930s South.

Review:

Have you ever love book and want everyone to read the book but you can only say that you love the book and nothing else?
Well, that’s how I feel about Tru and Nelle.
I love this book and want more people to read this book but when I tried to make review, I don’t know what to say to convince my friend that this is good book.

Tru and Nelle is heart warming story about friendship. Reading this made feel that bad things happen during my childhood is nothing compare Tru and Nelle’s experience. :’)
This book make me think that maybe bad thing that happens to me is the reasons I love writing since it helps me heal.
“Tru, this is your home. You are my blood kin, my second cousin thrice removed. But blood kin’s not the most important kin. Do you know what is?” “No, sir.” “Love kin. And that comes from the heart. That’s why this is your home.”
