A manga series that packs quite the punch!

Nothing about Saitama passes the eyeball test when it comes to superheroes, from his lifeless expression to his bald head to his unimpressive physique. However, this average-looking guy has a not-so-average problem – he just can’t seem to find an opponent strong enough to take on! He’s easily taken out a number of monsters, including a crabby creature, a malicious mosquito girl and a muscly meathead. But his humdrum life takes a drastic turn when he meets Genos – a cyborg who wants to uncover the secret behind his strength!

Covernya Genos. Sukaaa ❤ Genos adalah karakter favoritku di OPM. Aku bahkan pernah menulis surat penggemar kepada Genos :

Aku kagum sama One sensei yang bisa buat cerita battle manga yang fresh dan betapa bagusnya ilustrasi Yusuke Murata sensei.

Komik ini sukses membuatku senyum-senyum sendiri.
Misal saat Saitama dan Genos datang markas lawan, bukannya langsung masuk, Genos malah membom dan meratakan bangunan markas lawan.
Saitama: Eh? kamu kenapa sih?
Genos : menurutku ini cara paling efisien untuk melumpuhkan mereka.
Aku suka adegan ini karena biasanya di komik lain, tokoh utama akan masuk ke dalam markas musuh dan kemudian akan ada pertarungan di tiap lantai yang membuat cerita menjadi panjang. Namun di OPM, tidak seperti itu.

This comic has successfully made me smile.
I amazed how One could make a fresh battle manga story and how amazing the ilustration that Yusuke Murata sensei made.
Example: When Saitama and Genos arrived at enemy’s headquarters , instead of move inside enemy’s building, Genos bombed and destroyed the opponent’s headquarters building.
Saitama: Eh? what’s wrong with you?
Genos: I think this the most efficient way to immobilize them.
I love this scene because usually in other comics, the main character will go into enemy’s building and then there will be fight scene on every floor which makes the story becomes long. But in the OPM, it did not happen.

Adegan saat Saitama mengungkapkan rahasia kekuatannya juga kocak. Hahahahha

The scene when Saitama reveal his secret strength is also hilarious. Hahhaha

Kemunculan Sonic dan Hammerhead juga jadi hiburan tersendiri.
Aku suka refleksi Saitama saat melihat Hammerhead. Saitama dan Hammerhead sama-sama berulang kali kesulitan mendapat kerja, namun Saitama memilih menjadi Hero sementara Hammerhead memilih menjadi penjahat.
“kecewa pada masyarakat ya? Kalau salah langkah, mungkin aku juga bakal jadi seperti dia. ”

The emergence of Sonic and Hammerhead in volume make this comic more hilarious.
I like Saitama’s thought after he met Hammerhead. Both Saitama and Hammerhead always fail when applying for a job, but Saitama decided that it sign for him to be a hero while Hammerhead decided to be a villain.
“Disappointed with society huh? If I made wrong step, maybe I’m also going to be like him.”

Adegan favoritku yang lain adalah saat Saitama sadar kalau popularitasnya kurang setelah bertemu Sonic juga kocak.
Tapi kocaknya karena gue udah tahu apa yang akan terjadi selanjutnya. Udah nonton animenya.
Hehehe

Untuk adegan battlenya sendiri lebih seru pas nonton anime, tapi manganya ngga kalah seru dan lucu 😀

My other favorite scene is when Saitama realize that he is not popular after met Sonic. It is hilarious because I already knew what will happen next since I already watching the anime version.
Hehehe

For the battle scene itself, I prefer the anime version, but it does not mean the manga version is bad. The manga version is also exciting and funny 😀
